Singles Bootcamp
When, where and will I sweat?
When: Sunday 12 September 2010, 11am
Where: Acton Park, Acton
‘Glow’-scale: We hope you’ll sweat a bit but you’ll be in good company!
What’s the plan?
11am – bootcamp style exercise session (meet by the Urban Vitality flag in Acton Park)
12.30 – Lunch at uber-trendy The Rocket pub, Acton Village
2pm – we leave you to your own devices – head off home or stay on at The Rocket for a few vinos.
Why UV Singles Bootcamp?
Week in, week out we watched people enjoying exercise and striking up great friendships at our bootcamps. It seemed the perfect place to meet other singles without the pressure that so many dating events bring.
Let’s be honest, there are few hotter things than a go-getting attitude and great sense of humour so we thought we’d put these together.
A one-off, no-commitment – just see if it’s your cup of tea.
What sort of people go?
Outdoorsy, fun and enthusiastic guys and girls who are up for a laugh and fancy something different from the normal dating options out there. By its nature we attract confident and happy people who don’t need their highest stilettos and/or 8 pints down the hatch before they can speak to the opposite sex!
What is the vibe?
Relaxed with a capital R. The whole point is for UV Singles’ BC to be the antithesis of all that awkward conversation and toe-curling silences. We will give you a great workout session and then wander up to the pub for a laid back lunch and a chat. No scoring of people, no personality questionnaires and no unwanted emails. All in a morning’s work – perfect!
What’s the age group?
All ages are welcome – most will grace the 25-35 slot.
How fit do I need to be?
We take attitude over fitness, every time. The session will be tailored to individual levels so whether you puff a bit running for the bus or are an Olympic rower, bring a smile and you’ll be fine!
Do people go on their own?
Absolutely, or come with friends, your call. The session is designed to make everyone super comfortable asap.
What does the bootcamp consist of?
It’s basically loads of fun games and challenges, our aim is that you forget you’re working out. It is mostly body-weight exercises with short bits of running. It won’t feel that hard, but trust us, stairs can be a struggle the next day!
What do I need to wear?
NO GLAD RAGS PLEASE (you too boys!). Just wear normal loose fitting clothes / gym kit with a decent pair of trainers. And no, you don’t change for the lunch after. End of.
The damage?
£29 including lunch and a drink.
Where do I sign up?
Limited places for maximum chat time so book now…
